Peggy Hedrick Wilson

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Hedrick Wilson, age 86, passed away, October 23, 2016 at Oak Forest Health & Rehabilitation Center. Peggy was born August 19, 1930 in Davidson County to the late Hammet Raymond Hedrick Sr. and Sue Kathleen Hedrick. She attended Winston-Salem City Memorial Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her Nursing degree. She was dedicated in serving people with medical needs for 42 years. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Minter B. Wilson Jr; two sisters, Violet Atkinson, Jacquelin Chapel; two brothers, H.R. Hedrick Jr, Delano Hedrick. Surviving is one son, David Ray Wilson(Diane); four daughters, Cathy Oakley, Donna Shoemaker (Billy), Carol Jenkins (Randy), Vicki Hauser (William); ten grandchildren, Kelly Freeman, Brandon Oakley, Kristie Wilson, Charlie Wilson, David Wilson, Matt Crow, Lindsay Meadows, Nicole Jenkins, Andrew Jenkins, DeAnna Barnes; eleven great-grandchildren, Tanner Freeman, Kaegon Matlock, Katy Wilson, Lukas Wilson, Alyssa Crow, Hannah Meadows, Dante Daniels, Trey Daniels, Aria Jenkins, Joseph Barnes, and Caleb Barnes: In addition are three sisters, Nancy Beck, Audrey Sechrist, Judy Conrad; one brother, Ben Hedrick.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2016 at Faith United Methodist Church with Rev. Eileen Ayuso officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, October 27, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
