Peggy "Sue" Pope Wooten

Mrs. Peggy ""Sue"" Pope Wooten, 86, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday, January 16, 2017.

Peggy Sue was born August 25, 1930 in Forsyth County to Walter Samuel Pope and Florence Holder Pope. She was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wooten.

Peggy Sue is survived by her daughter, Susan McNiel and husband Junior of King; son, Eddie Wooten and wife Donna of King; grandson, Eric Wooten and wife Chrissy of King; 3 great-grandchildren, Finley, Leland and Ryker; and sister, Carolyn P. Canter of Winston-Salem.

A private family graveside will be held.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the cardiac unit at Forsyth Medical Center.
