Penny June Ransom

Ms. Penny June Campbell Ransom, 60, passed away peacefully holding her eldest daughter's hand on November 16, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born on January 15, 1965, in Stokes County to the late Claude Oakley Campbell and Norma Jean Griffin Campbell. Penny loved to read and was a coffee and tobacco enthusiast. She also enjoyed watching reality TV shows, the beach, listening to 60’s and 70’s music, and above all, was a selfless mother. Penny is survived by four daughters: Brandi Nichole Martin (Lucas), Ande Michelle Ransom, Casey Noel Ransom, and Jordan Montgomery Ransom, four sisters, Vickie Newman (Benny), Robin Patton, Dee Sweeney (Jon) and Sandra Manuel (Rick) one brother Kevin Campbell, and several loving grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Friday November 28, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall.
