Mr. Perry Glenn Lyalls, 79, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Ashe Co. on August 18, 1934 to the late Lindoff Lyall and Willie Lee Dalton Lyall. Mr. Lyalls was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew him. He was a member of Pfafftown Baptist Church and retired from Sara Lee with 22 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Lyall and a sister, Mary Lyall. Mr. Lyalls is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Loretta Miller Lyalls of the home, a son, Dallas Glenn Lyalls (Teresa) of Troutman, a daughter, Dorcas Shamel (Michael) of Sherrills Ford, a granddaughter, Angela Shamel of Sherrills Ford, two brothers, James ""Jack"" Lyall (Betty) of Hickory and Joseph ""Joe"" Lyles of Thurmond and one sister, Iris Shook of Conover. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Thomas Bounds and Rev. Eddie Brackett officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
