Philip Michael Pope

Philip Michael Pope, 58, of Winston-Salem, went to meet the Lord on April 21, 2013 after a long battle of illness. He was born to Charles Wallace Pope and Virginia Dillon Pope on July 11, 1954. He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Charles Wayne Pope. He is survived by Mother and Pop, Virginia Pope and Jack Callahan; sister and husband, Carolyn Hodges (Kent); brother and wife, Scott Pope (Gina); nephew, Rodney Key; stepbrothers and stepsister, Mike, Steve, Diane Davis; numerous family and friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25 at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Randy Jessup and the Rev. Tommy Pope officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
