Philip "Phil" Eugene Shelton

Philip ""Phil"" Eugene Shelton, life-long resident of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2015 at the age of 51 while on vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado.

Philip is survived by his mother, Haarala Shelton of Winston-Salem; his siblings, April Shelton of Poland, ME, Monty Shelton and wife, Kim, of Loveland, OH and Carolyn Shelton Graham and husband, Scott, of Cary, NC; and his nieces, Amanda Shelton of Berkeley, CA and Emily Shelton of Cleveland, OH. He is predeceased by his father, Virgil Eugene Shelton.
Philip was born in Winston-Salem, NC on September 25, 1964 to Virgil and Haarala Shelton. He graduated from Parkland High School in 1982 and attended Western Carolina University. He was a hard worker in the concrete, cement and masonry business.

Our thoughtful, funny, and smart Phil will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2016 and a funeral service for 11:00 am on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Following will be a graveside service at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2730 Peters Creek Pkwy and a reception at Winston-Salem Moose Lodge, 1495 Old Salisbury Rd starting at 1:30 pm.
