Phyllis Stone Harris

Mrs. Phyllis Stone Harris, 88, of Advance, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Bermuda Commons. Mrs. Harris was born May 16, 1925 in York County, PA to Fieldon and Geneva Draper Stone. She was a devoted Christian and was of the Baptist Faith, Community Bible Study leader and an avid Bible Reader. Preceding Mrs. Harris in death are her parents and her husband, George Francois Harris in December of 2012. Surviving are two daughters; Linda Harris of Orlando, FL and Carol Sheppard and husband Mike of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Bryan Kuhns of Orlando, FL, Stephanie Whiteheart and husband Ryan of Germanton, Chris Sheppard and wife Heather of Winston-Salem and Amanda Castle and husband Jacob of Walnut Cove and one great grandson, Evan Whiteheart. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by Rev. Gary Byrum. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, 5000 Country Club rd.
