Phyllis Wilson

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Hadley Wilson, 82, passed away on January 12, 2019, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Phyllis was born on July 28, 1936, in Snow Camp, NC, to William Franklin and Myrtis Braxton Hadley. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother. Phyllis graduated top of her High School class and attended Burlington Business College. Phyllis worked as a bookkeeper for Nationwide Insurance and retired from Howard Distribution. She was a great cook, loved to laugh, and for many years was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Her children will fondly remember their sweet momma as unconditionally supportive and a great listener. Phyllis was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Lamb and Evelyn McKinney; and three brothers, CL Hadley, Herman Hadley, and Russell Hadley. Surviving are her loving husband of almost 63 years, Harry Wilson; two daughters, Sheila Goff (Richard) and Sandra Mock (Wayne); and one son, Barry Wilson (Pam); four grandchildren, Hannah Goff, Wade Goff, Tyler Mock, and Riley Mock; one sister-in-law, Jeanette Hadley; one brother-in-law Samuel McKinney; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Bob Whitaker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at 3pm on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at South Fork Friends Church Cemetery, 359 S. Fork Bethel Church Rd. Snow Camp, NC 27349. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln.
