Posey Richard Haynes

BELEWS CREEK- Posey Richard Haynes, 75, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at Kernersville Medical Center. He was born March 9, 1939 in Carroll Co., VA to the late Wiley and Katie Ayers Haynes.

Mr. Haynes was a United States Army Veteran and retired from R. J. Reynolds after 30 years of service.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Thomas Haynes; two sisters, Mary Taylor and Betty Ayers; and one brother, Sam Haynes.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Fulton (Gary) of Belews Creek, Sheila Gordon (Allen) of Kernersville, Shirley Castle (Junior) of Belews Creek; one son, Dean Haynes (Ken) of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Tyler Williams, Nicole Fulton, Justin Castle, Tayler Fulton; two brothers, Roger Gwyn of Stokesdale and Ricky Gwyn of Walnut Cove; and several nieces and nephews.


A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. Robert Whitaker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
