FISH Quenieth (Queen) Elizabeth Long Fish of 4960 Bishopgate Road Winston-Salem, NC passed away on March 6, 2010. She was born April 30, 1918 in Yadkin County to Thomas L. and Mary Ann (Mollie) Waller Long. She was a graduate of East Bend High School. During World War II she worked for the Carbon Plant in Winston-Salem. She later worked for Underwood Jewelers and when she married on December 19, 1954 she was working for Western Electric. Quenieth was raised as a Methodist but had been a member of Advent Moravian Church for the past 45 years; she loved the Lord and her fellow members. She was a member of the Women's Fellowship and enjoyed helping with the annual making of the Moravian chicken pies. She is survived by her husband, Frank L. Fish of the home; a daughter, Sharon Crowder and husband Charles of Midway; a son, Dennie F. Fish and wife Tammy of Wallburg; two grandchildren, Danah Mabe Hollifield and Eric Fish; two great grandchildren, Brandon and Emily Hollifield and one brother, Roy Long Sr. and wife Sue of East Bend, NC. Her brothers, Gray Long of Oklahoma, Charlie Long of Winston-Salem, Marvin Long of Florida and John Long of East Bend along with her sisters, Opal Snow Hobson of Winston-Salem, Treva Wooten of Greensboro and Josephine Adams of Concord all preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, March 8, 2010 at Advent Moravian Church with the Rev. Dan Conrad and the Rev. James Demby officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. A visitation will be held from 2:45-3:45 pm Monday before the service at the church.
