Rachael Angel

Rachael Hurst Angel, 46, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her home. Rachael was born in Houston Texas August 8, 1972 to Donald C. Hurst and Karolyn J. Mack. During her childhood, she lived in Boone and attended Hardin Park Elementary School.  She spent the rest of her life in Winston Salem, which was home to her.  She graduated from Parkland High School and Forsyth Technical Community College with a degree in Radiography, and worked in the medical field for over 20 years.  Rachael was known for her hilarious sense of humor, her infectious laugh, and her love for her family; she was especially close to her father and had an eternal and unwavering love for her daughter. Rachael is survived by her father and stepmother, Donald C Hurst and Imogene Victor; mother, Karolyn J Mack; her daughter, Christina Rae Burns (Angel) and husband Stephen; sisters Patricia Lyn Hurst, Pamela Jane Hurst, and twin sister, Rebecca Louise Hurst; niece Claire Spirtas-Hurst, her dog Chi-Chi, and many family and friends who loved her dearly. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
