Rachel Nan Linville Cheek, 84, of Winston-Salem, passed peacefully on July 10, 2016. Born June 18, 1932 in Yadkinville, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burton Sink Linville. She was a 1951 graduate of Yadkinville high School and attended Pfeiffer College. She married Mr. Henry Click Cheek on August 9, 1952. Mrs. Cheek was an active member of Home Moravian Church where she taught Sunday School, served as a diener, a member of the Women's Fellowship and a Stephens Minister. Preceding her in death were her parents Burton Sink and Francis Cornelison Linville, her brother Aaron Yancey Linville, as well as her husband of 41 years Henry Click Cheek. Mrs. Cheek is survived by her sons Michael Henry Cheek (Karen) and David Burton Cheek (Kelly); four grandchildren, Rachel Cheek, Rebekah Cheek, Daniel Cheek, and Allison Cheek. Mrs. Cheek was a beautiful, intelligent, loving and caring person who touched the lives of many people. Her funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, 2:00 pm at Home Moravian Church by Reverend Rick Sides. Burial will follow in the church graveyard, God's Acre. A time of fellowship with friends and family, hosted by the Women's Fellowship in the church's parlor, will follow the burial.
