Rachel Willard Shelton

Rachel Willard Shelton went home April 27, 2015 at the age of ninety-two, pre-deceased by her husband Walter, she now dances with him in heavenly grace. She is survived by her sons David, Philip, and Tim. She leaves behind six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She worked at Hanes Clothing Factory in the late forties until she took a job with Western Electric. She retired in 1978. She kept the nursery at Salem Baptist Church for over 37 years where she was a member of 58 years. Rachel was born September 19, 1922 in Stuart, Virginia and married Walter R. Shelton in Stuart, Virginia on June 29, 1940. It would be her wish that all may join together at Parklawn Memorial Park, Sunday, the third of May at 2:30 in the afternoon for a graveside service to invoke God's blessing on her.
