Rachel Shore

Rachel Irene Shore went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2023, at Arbor Acres Retirement Community where she was a resident.  Rachel was born to the late Ruth Medley Shore and Theodore Worth Shore on January 28, 1939, in Greensboro, NC where she grew up with her five siblings.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gerald Dean Goin; and her siblings, Theodore Shore Jr, David Shore, Vangie Cirba, Lois Gibson and Della Stroud.  Surviving is her daughter, Faith Gurganus (Van) of Lewisville; her two sons, Boyd Wayne Goin of Welcome; Mark Anthony Goin (Debbie) of State Road; a sister-in-law, Lee Shore of Greensboro, six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6 at 1:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church 3819 Country Club Road Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  An internment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory cemetery.  The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Arbor View and Strickland Place nurses, CNAs and staff members who showed her such love and compassionate care.
