Raleigh Ward, Jr.

KERNERSVILLE- Raleigh "Monty" Lamont Ward, Jr., 75, passed away November 6, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born October 12, 1942 in Forsyth County to the late Raleigh Lamont Ward, Sr. and Margaret Teague Ward.
Monty retired from RJR/Archer after 37 years of service. He loved golf, watching sports and watching his grandchildren play.
In addition to his parents Raleigh is preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Ann Ward.
Surviving are his wife, Clara Hicks Ward, two sons Scott Daniel Ward (Kelly) and Michael Gray Ward; daughter Amy Lynn Ward; two step children, Darren Dixon (Paula), and Gina Marrow, two grandsons Jordan and Ryan Ward; four step grandchildren, and five step great grandchildren, and two brothers Gene Ward (Karen) and Rick Ward (Lona).
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 10, 2017 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
