Ralph Eugene Blair

Ralph Eugene Blair, 89, passed away on January 23, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ralph was born to Edward Milton Blair and Opal Cheney Blair on June 21, 1924 in Marion County, OH. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Ralph retired from Dobson Insurance Company where he worked as a corporate insurance agent. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy James Blair. Survivors include his daughter, Edna Blair of Calabash; granddaughter, Alex Woods, also of Calabash; stepson, Randy Reaves (Emily) of Welcome; sister, Barbara Triplett, and nephews, Tim Triplett (Myra), and Mike Triplett (Cortney) all of Pataskala, OH; Caregiver, Robin Plott of Winston-Salem; and Ralph's long-time companion poodle, Cookie Blair. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Eric Lineberry officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
