Randolph Nelson Munn, Sr.

Mr. Randolph Nelson Munn, Sr. passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at UNC Hospitals surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 4, 1940, in Sampson County, the son of Anderson and Rosabelle Lumpkins Munn. He retired from USF Holland and had previously worked for Pilot Freight and Jevic Transportation. Nelson served our country in the US Navy. Mr. Munn enjoyed relaxing, his grandkids and going to the beach where he loved to spend time at the BBQ house with his friends. He was a humble man, who would give you the shirt off his back. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Betty Munn; a daughter, Angela Munn and two grandson, Bailey Munn and Landon Munn. Survivors include his son, Randy Munn (Diana) of Walnut Cove; a grandson Logan Munn and many friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Clinton City Cemetery, Clinton, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mineral Springs Fire Dept., 1338 Old Hollow Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
