Randy Johnson

Randy Johnson, 67, passed away on August 30, 2026, at his residence in Winston-Salem, NC.

Born September 20, 1958, in Greensboro to Bertie Mae Johnson, Randy completed his education locally. He attended Gillespie Elementary School, Kiser Middle School, and graduated from Grimsley High School in 1971. He earned his associate’s degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T) and was proud to be an Aggie.

Randy owned Guilford Orthotic and Prosthetic in Greensboro for over thirty years.

In addition to being an entrepreneur, he was a sports enthusiast. He supported the Panthers, the Tar Heels' basketball team, and his beloved Aggies. He was also a basketball referee for over twenty-five years.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Bertie Mae Johnson; aunt, Marie Brunson; and uncle, Bill. He is survived by his loving wife of fifteen years, Noemi; daughter, Brittany; grandson, Lazeb; son, Jose; brother, James “Ronnie” Johnson; nieces; great-nieces and great-nephews; aunt, Betty Rankin and her family; cousin, Paulette Robinson, her sons, Sean Robinson (Sequana) and Lamont; and many other beloved extended family and friends that he considered family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Iglesia Bautista Cristo Vive, 701 E Sprague St, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, officiated by Pastor Lucas Colmenares.
