Winston-Salem- Mr. Randy McMullan, 84, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, August 2, 2018. He was born January, 1934, and was the son of Lewis and Dolly McMullan. He was of the Christian faith, a volunteer at Forsyth Medical Center and was a U.S. Army Veteran, specializing in Code Breaking and Sharpshooting; he also played first base for his general's personal Army baseball team while stationed in Japan. He was the retired owner of RMS, Inc. and enjoyed sports and spending time with his family. Mr. McMullan played semi-pro baseball and was recruited by the St. Louis Cardinals, but was drafted into the Army before he could play. He was a caring person who took pride in his family and in everything he did. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary; two brothers, Robert and John and two sisters, Mary Lou and Judy. Survivors include his two children, Cam McMullan (Beth) of Lewisville and Kathe Crews (Daryl) of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Pat Jones of Manassas, VA and Sharon Brunk of Harrisonburg, VA; two grandchildren, Emily McMullan and Becca McMullan Eure (Josh) and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local dementia or Alzheimer's organization of your choice - we must do what we can to stop these horrible diseases.
