Randy Pressley

Randy Webb Pressley, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

Randy was born on January 31, 1958, in Charlotte, NC, to the late Harvey James Pressley and Patricia Ann Pressley. Randy graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1976. He attended NC State University and was a DJ for the university radio station. He later transferred to and graduated from UNC Charlotte. After graduating he worked as a DJ at a local radio station, but later decided to pursue a career in Information Technology.

He worked for Digital Equipment Corporation and was assigned as a Technical Consultant for R.J. Reynolds. After leaving Digital, he worked for Sara Lee and then ended his career as a Project Coordinator with the City of Winston-Salem.

Randy was a very social person. He loved meeting new people and many gravitated toward him because of his wonderful sense of humor. He was very active and loved sports. For many years he played co-ed volleyball, bowled in a league and regularly took fitness classes at the gym.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Pressley; two children, Troy and Scott Pressley; his sister Jill Trotta (Paul) and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, 5220 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 :00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
