Randy Edgar Wood

HIGH POINT, NC-Mr. Randy Edgar Wood, 51, of High Point, NC, passed away on January 1, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Mr. Wood was born on February 11, 1963 in Stokes County, NC to the late Edgar Covel Wood and Frances Louise Southern Wood Tuttle. He was employed with Hanes Dye & Finishing for over 20 years. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his niece, Halee Jackson. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Hutchins-Wood of the home; one son, Joshua Covel Wood (Alice) of Pilot Mountain, NC; one step-son, Brian Carson of Kernersville, NC; two sisters, Sandra Jackson (Lee) of Pfafftown, NC and Christine Smith (Kolan) of King, NC; numerous other loving relatives; and his Brothers HAMC Winston-Salem, AFFA. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Denny Marion officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Walnut Cove, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
