Rayma Cook

Mrs. Rayma Jean Stickelman Cook, 96, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Oak Forest Health and Rehab. She was born April 2, 1926, in Galena, Kansas to the late Harvey Stickelman and Sophronia Manlove Stickelman. Jean was a faithful member of Becks Baptist Church where she enjoyed being apart of the quilting ministries. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jean was a kind, joyful person who loved her Lord. She retired after 31 years from Catherine’s. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Powell Cook. She is survived by her two sons; Dale Cook (Kathy) of Winston-Salem, NC and James H. Cook of Honolulu, HI; three grandchildren, Wesley Cook (Amanda), Emily Cook Smith (Wesley); and Andrew Cook; and two great-grandchildren; Ella Smith and Camden Cook. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. Interment will be at Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville, IN at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the funeral home. In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to Lottie Moon Christmas Offering at Becks Baptist Church.
