Raymond Lineberry

Mr. Raymond Gray Lineberry, 71, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on March 21, 1947 to Mary Josephine Hicks Lineberry and Horton Green "Leak" Lineberry in Surry County. Raymond was of the Methodist Faith. He had been employed as a machinist at R.J. Archer Aluminum Company. An avid outdoorsman, Raymond was most at home while working in his garden. He was also a skilled hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark, Danny, and Johnny Lineberry; as well as a sister, Lola Atkins. Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Gayle Patterson Lineberry; sons, Raymond Lineberry, Jr., and Jeffrey Lineberry (Angie); grandsons, Gray, Sheldon, and Reagan Lineberry; sisters, Louise Whitt, Jennie Lee Thacker, Linda Sechrist, and Betty Bottoms (Glenn); and a brother, James Lineberry (Jemetta). A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037-0022; or Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
