Raymond Winters, Jr.

Raymond Allen Winters, Jr., 56, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center on November 11, 2017. He was born on December 16, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio. Raymond was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he learned his trade as a diesel engine mechanic. He also served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Raymond treasured the friendships he shared, and will be remembered as a generous man who put the needs of others before his own. Surviving him are his wife of 31 years, Lynn Watson Winters; daughters, Megan Winters Pike (Benjamin), Sarah Winters, and Crystal Skidmore; grandchildren, Alexis, Timothy, Isaac, and Jackson Skidmore; as well as the loving parents who raised him, JD and Jeanie Brewer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Reverend Craig Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church cemetery in Tobaccoville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, November 13, 2017.
