Kernersville, NC - Polly Rebecca Edison Anderson “Becky” 77, passed away at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, NC on April 2, 2026. She was born August 11, 1948, to Herman Samuel Edison and Lois Faye Robertson Edison. 

She is survived by her three children; Brian David Blalock of Lexington, NC, Brandon Scott Blalock of Kernersville and Traci Amanda Blalock Chaudoir (Husband, Johnny Chaudoir) of Winston-Salem; seven grandchildren; Steven C. Blalock (wife, Laken Blalock) of King, Karsen E. Blalock of Charlotte, Joshua D. Blalock of Lexington, twins Brendan & Bradley Blalock of Greensboro, Parker S. Blalock of Kernersville, Katie Blalock Thomas (Husband, Brandon Thomas) of Winston-Salem, Three great grandchildren Lillian and Raine Blalock of King, Oliver Thomas of Winston- Salem; brother, William Baxter Edison (Ricky Freedle) of Winston-Salem; sister, Samie Edison Gupton (Harris Gupton) of Tobaccoville.

Becky graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1967, then continued her education at Forsyth Tech obtaining her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. While working as a nurse she went to school to be a real estate broker, then went on to open her own successful real estate company, Edison Realty & Investments.

She found her calling in real estate and was extremely hard-working and dedicated her career and life to providing excellent service. Becky always thought of others first, especially when it came to her clients who she loved, many of which became repeat customers. She served over 40 years as a Real Estate Broker and was a proud member of the Winston Salem Regional Association of Realtors.

Becky was always compassionate and welcomed anyone in her life with open arms. She made sure to uphold family traditions every year and made everyone feel loved unconditionally. Becky was truly the heart and the foundation of her family. Her spirit brought light to all who knew her.
Becky was surrounded by her family when she died. She fought a true, valiant effort with Parkinson’s. She’s no longer in pain. She passed peacefully in the morning time at the Hospice home. Becky loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She will be missed by many. Her family will work hard to continue cherished traditions and honor her legacy. The light and love she gave will continue to shine through the eyes of her children and grandchildren. Please pray for our strength and understanding. She gave us something that can’t be damaged, destroyed or lost; she remains alive through us.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, April 10, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
