Rebecca Faye “Becky” Wilcox Hauser, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away on May 12, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
Becky was born on October 17, 1946, to Ernest Ray Wilcox and Nellie Galliher Wilcox in Iredell County. She graduated from Southwest High School in Clemmons in 1964, and earned her degree in X-Ray Technology in 1966 from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. Becky faithfully worked for 44 years as a Registered X-Ray and Radiation Therapy Technologist at NC Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Becky loved the beach, and was an avid shell collector and lighthouse visitor. She adored her grandchildren and treasured every moment she spent with them. Becky possessed a generous, kind, and considerate spirit, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Wilcox Colee, and her brother, James Wilcox.
Surviving are her loving husband of 59 years, Phil Hauser; daughter, Andrea Decker (Mark) of Boone; son, Ben Hauser (Jami) of Lexington; grandchildren, Samantha Decker of Boone; Sydney Decker of Warrensville; and Burke Hauser, Lily Mae Hauser, and Jack Hauser of Lexington. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Wilcox Brown of Hamptonville, and her aunt, Margie Galliher Strickland of Little River, SC.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Interment will follow at Union Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
