Rebecca Ann Richards

Rebecca Ann Richards, 52, of Walnut Cove, NC unexpectedly entered into the presence of the Lord from her home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. She was born on January 18, 1974, in Winston-Salem, NC.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Richards.

She is survived by her father, Robert Richards of Walkertown, NC; her sisters, Ruth Yontz (Bill) of Youngsville, NC, and Barbara Roberts (Jack) of Walkertown, NC; one niece, Lia Darnell (JD) of Lexington, KY; and one nephew, Austin Roberts (Ashley) of Clemmons, NC.

She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown. Rebecca was employed by Gospel Light Christian School since 1998 where she taught Fifth Grade, served as Principal, and most recently as head of the Enrichment Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Officiating the service is Pastor Frank Shumate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Light Christian School, P.O. Box 70, Walkertown, NC 27051.
