Rebecca Collins Venable

Rebecca Collins Venable, 82, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at Homestead Hills.

Becky was born May 6, 1944, in Forsyth County to Harry Lee Collins and Frances Norman Collins. She was retired from Hanes Brands. Becky was an avid reader and a collector of gnomes. She also had a special love for dogs. Whenever she could, Becky greatly enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Barry Joe Venable; two daughters, Tori Gastardi (Diego) and April Manuel (Keith); two granddaughters, Heather Millsaps (Ryan) and Bay Routh; one great-grandson, Easton; one brother, A.L. “Buddy” Collins (Rene); niece, Whitney Hunter (Gray); nephew, David Collins (Gianna Rose); great niece and nephew, Salem and William; and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission.
