Reinhard Alfred Kube

Reinhard Alfred Kube, 79, of Winston Salem, NC, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, after an extended time of illness. RA was born on January 30th, 1945, in Schreiberhau, Germany to Alfred J. Kube and Margot G. Scheurell. His father died in Germany. In 1955, he came to America with his mother and stepfather, Forrest D. Bauer.

RA joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. On February 4th, 1967, he married the love of his life, Patricia Lynn Coats and they were married for 57 years. They were blessed with a son, Josef C. Kube, in 1968. After serving in Vietnam, RA worked as a manager of a jewelry store, the facility manager at First Baptist Church, and a chef at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son. He is survived in death by his wife, Tricia, his brother, Bobby (Donna) Bauer of Washington, DC, his granddaughter, Nicole Kube of Charleston, SC, and his grandson, Andrew Kube of Winston-Salem.

RA was a gifted chef, skilled artist, talented woodworker, and a great storyteller. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
