Reuben "Skip" Franklin Morris

Reuben “Skip” Franklin Morris, III, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 14, 2026. Skip was born February 25, 1956, to the late Reuben Franklin Morris, Jr. and Joshlyn Frazier Morris, living most of his life in Winston-Salem and Lewisville. Skip is survived by his wife, Jan Morris; three children, Ben Morris (Emily), Will Morris (Beth), and Sarah Shore (Joseph); four grandchildren, Quentin, Ernie, Nita Kate, and Edie Lyn. Skip was a man who thought of others before himself. He was there with no judgement when people needed a little help and understanding. Skip enjoyed walking in the woods in the winter searching for a tree or two to be cut for firewood. Skip loved his family. He was most happy when he was with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. A service to honor his life will be held Saturday August 22, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Lewisville United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Brown officiating. The family will have a reception following the service in the church fellowship hall.
