Pastor Paul’s passion was reaching those who did not know his Lord and Savior, and helping other’s grow in their faith. He served as pastor to multiple churches. The most recent being Goodrich Assembly of God for 12 years, retiring in September of 2021.
Paul had a Bachelor of Art’s Degree from North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he graduated magna cum laude. He also had a Master of Arts from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri.
Over the last 12 years Paul was recognized as a top automotive recruiter for various companies alongside his long-standing pastoral career.
Paul’s favorite hymns were “Victory in Jesus” and “When We All Get to Heaven” always emphasizing the chorus in the latter,
“When we all get to Heaven What a day of rejoicing that will be When we all see Jesus We'll sing and shout the victory! “
Paul enjoyed emphasizing the word “Shout!” in the last line of this chorus when it was sung at the church.
Paul is survived by his wife Rebecca, and his five children: Joshua Kleindl (Mandi), Sarah Friesen (Georg), Hannah Muller (John), Nathan Kleindl (Brooke), and Michael Kleindl. Six grandchildren: Liam, Adeline, Skylar, Finley, Yuri, Lydia, and more on the way. Also survived by his mother, Patricia Kleindl, and his three brothers; Jim Keindl (Amber), Tim Kleindl (April) and Dave Kleindl (Elizabeth). A private family service will be held in honor of Paul.
Rebecca: We have spent a lot of time together over these last two years. The move to North Carolina was a big change in our plans, but I know you did it to help me. You have been there for me 24 hours a day – feeding me food, washing my clothes and the sweetest part sitting by me and holding my hand and rubbing my back and praying for me. I remember that night you went home to get some rest when I was in the hospital and you bent down to kiss me and I told you how much I would miss you- little did I know that I would be missing you here on this earth in just a few days. I love you Paul.
Joshua: Papa exemplified selfless giving and never hesitated to help those in need. He was an awesome father and showed the power of perseverance in the face of hardship. He will be truly missed but will live on in our hearts.
Sarah: I loved your laugh and smile and I know without a doubt that you were proud of me. Thank you for loving my kids and loving Jesus enough to make sure that I knew Him too. You were always there to navigate me through my various life stages and ages and I am forever grateful to have so many sweet memories to savor until we meet again. Love you Pops
Hannah: Papa was a wonderful dad to me and grandfather to Lydia. I am thankful that he chose to teach me about Jesus. I watched him live out his faith by always serving others and his family. I love you papa and I can’t wait until I see you again.
Nathan: Thank you for being a great dad. For instilling in me a work ethic, for supporting me in Royal Rangers, fencing, Bible Quiz and helping me marry my best friend. But most importantly – for leading me to my own personal relationship with Jesus that was modeled by him. I could not be more grateful for the time that we had with you and for the beautiful memories to cherish. Love you Papa.
Michael: Pops, when it mattered most, you were always there for me. I am proud of you for all that you pushed to achieve over the years, and I am sad that you will not be here to see the things I hope to accomplish. Although I know that your presence will always be with us, I will miss you dearly, all my love.
