Reva Virginia Jones ""Grammer"" Miller; a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with her Lord Wednesday afternoon October 2, 2013. She was born September 11, 1927 in Forsyth County to Elser Franklin (Cap) and Lizzie Evestal (Patsy) Jones. Reva loved to play basketball, playing for Griffith High School, where she graduated in 1946. Reva's most enjoyable times were being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending time with them as often as she could. Reva was truly a Proverbs 31 woman where taking care of and loving her family meant the most to her. She was a member of Friedberg Moravian Church most of her life. Reva is preceded in death by her husband Robert F. Miller Sr. who was co-founder of Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home; her sister Ruby Jones Mickey; and her brother, John Franklin Jones. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Stevens and husband Johnny, Sandy Dunlap and husband Darrell; her son, Frank Miller and wife Cindy; her grandchildren, Leslie Miller Moore and husband Landon, Brandon Miller and wife Jennifer, Dylan Stevens, Luke and Landon Dunlap; her great grandchildren, Madison, Dayton and Braydon Moore and Emerson Grace Miller; her sister-in-law, Ruth Miller Coulter and husband Bill; and also several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday October 6, 2013 at Friedberg Moravian Church with the Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the family life center at the church where sugar cake and coffee will be served. Condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com. The family would like to thank the Hospice staff for their care and support, and extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Karen, Jana, Michelle, Lori, and Alberta, for the wonderful care and compassion that was shown to Reva and her family during the time they spent with her. Memorials may be made to Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
