Richard Windale 'Doodie' Collins

Mr. Richard Windale ""Doodie"" Collins, 72, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 26, 1941 in Forsyth County to Richard Lee and Mary Seagraves Collins. He attends Liberty Baptist Church and retired from American Mechanical Industrial Contractors and Wall-Turner Heating and Air. Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Susan Collins. Surviving are a son, Marty Lee Collins (Teresa) of Winston-Salem; a grandson, Marcus Tyler Collins of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Edward L. Collins (Betty) of Winston-Salem, Donald P. Collins of Hillsville, Va.; two sisters, JoAnn Hancock (Rex) of Hillsville, Va. and Margaret Hicks (Clyde) of Clemmons; and a special sister-in-law, Judy Miller (Clay) of Walkertown. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park.
