Richard Duran Stimson

Richard Duran Stimson, 103, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Richard was born November 8, 1921, in Forsyth County, to Robah Wilson Stimson and Myrtle Lula Moore Stimson. Mr. Stimson proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dermott Stimson, and Ronald Stimson; one sister, Mary Sheppard; and one son, Kyle Stimson.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 79 years, Doris Stimson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 3 PM Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Lewisville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Philip Barnes officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 Thursday at Hayworth-Miller, Lewisville Chapel.
