Mr. Richard Earl Gallman, II, 69, of Lewisville, NC, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Gallman was born on February 12, 1946, in Forsyth County, NC to the late Richard Earl Gallman and Juanita Cleckley Gallman. Richard served his country in the United States Air Force and fought in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Efficiency Honor Fidelity, National Defense and Vietnam Service Medals during his service. Richard attended Friends Baptist Church in Lewisville. Mr. Gallman is survived by his wife, Kathy Dunn Gallman of the home; three sons, Scott Gallman (Angela), Greg Gallman (Paige), and Brent Gallman (Marci), all of Lewisville; seven grandchildren, Jourdan, R.J., Cassidy, Emily, Chelsea, Ashley, and Graham; one sister, Jeanne Bowman (Wayne) of Lewisville; a special sister-in-law, Pat Agee and husband, Joe of Lewisville; and numerous other loving family members and friends. The family would like to say a special word of thanks to close friends, Sam Simmons, Gayle Williams, and Mike and Kay Robertson for always being there and all that they did for Kathy and the rest of the family during Richard's illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 9, 2015, at Friends Baptist Church with Pastor Daron Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family of Mr. Gallman.
