Richard Hurni

Mr. Richard Eugene Hurni, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2019 at his residence after a long illness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 9, 1942 to Andrew and Catherine Hurni. He was a humorous person who loved people. He had a passion for senior center in Kernersville and loved assisting others there. He was a franchise owner and operator of a Black Car Transportation Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Hurni. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Everett Hurni; three daughters, Christina Giurrantano (husband, Vinnie), Julie Budd (Dan), Lynn Ramdin (husband, Anil), and Tracy Diamond (husband, Richard); three brothers, Andrew, Richard, and Charlie Hurni; six grandchildren, Terrance, Allison, Jordan, Anjuli, Christian, and Jatin; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A funeral service for Richard will take place at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Israel Mora officiating. Burial will follow the service at Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Volunteers International Seventh-day Adventist Church at 990 Reserve Dr. Suite 100 Roseville, CA 9567. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
