Richard Prestien

Richard George Prestien, 95, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 17, 1925 to the late Frederick and Helen Heiss Prestien.  Mr. Prestien owned a catering company, cocktail lounge, and retired from Schoedinger Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio.  He loved woodworking and fishing.  Preceding him in death were a great-grandson, Kyle Provens and his sister, Jeanne Coleman.  Surviving is his wife, Mildred Litterst Prestien; four daughters, Kathy Hartley, Diana Steinbrook (Tom), Wendy Spittle (Mark), and Melissa Prestien; five grandchildren, Sherri Morton, Lori Biefeld, Jason Provens, Bronson Steinbrook, and Taylor Rogers; 11 great-grandchildren; also surviving are five great-great grandchildren and a niece and nephew.  There will be no services at this time.  Memorials may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
