Richard Gray Strupe, Sr.

Mr. Richard Gray Strupe, Sr., 79, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 5, 2015. He was born in Forsyth Co. on February 13, 1936 the son of the late Ellis Ray Strupe and Pearl Whitman Strupe. Mr. Strupe proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. and retired from Gallins Vending Co. Mr. Strupe was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Tobaccoville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Marie White Strupe and a daughter, Ann Marie Strupe. He is survived by a daughter; Carol Hauser (Roger), a son; Richard G. Strupe, Jr. (Patricia), two grandchildren; Christina Covington (Derek) and Jacob Strupe; a sister, Doris Brame and a twin brother, Robert Strupe (Dee). A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Leake Memorial Baptist Church in Germanton with Pastor Justin Duncan officiating. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: American Heart Association.
