Richard Michael Talbert, Sr.

Mr. Richard Michael Talbert, Sr.76, passed away peacefully Friday, September 11, 2026 surrounded by his family, at his residence. He was born on August 27, 1950, in Norfolk, VA, the son of Zane and Anne Michelitsch Talbert. He retired from Parkway Ford after spending over 40 years in the automotive industry. He enjoyed golf, traveling. fishing and the beach. A person with a great sense of humor. Richard loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Talbert; two daughters; Stephanie Goldsborough (Brandon) of Greensboro, Christine Packard of Bolivia; a son, Richard Talbert, Jr. (Carrie) of Waxhaw; two sisters, Patty Brown (Charlie) of Lake Gaston and Shirley Scruggs (Jim) of Miami, OK; a brother Jack Talbert (June) of Reston, VA.; five grandchildren, Emily, Charlotte, Samuel, Luke, Jack and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be private.
