Rickey Clayton

Loving husband and father, Rickey Clayton went to his heavenly father on Saturday, February 11, 2023, after declining health.  Rickey was born, raised, and lived in Rural Hall, predeceased by his parents Lee C. and Rosa Beck Clayton.  Rickey is survived by his best friend and wife of over 48 years Anita Tuttle Clayton, brother Randy Clayton (Missy) of Pfafftown, son Bobby Clayton and daughter Shannon Clayton, and 4 grandchildren.  Rickey was an exceptionally skilled master of anything mechanical.  He was known for his wide range of knowledge on most subjects.  He owned and operated Clayton Heating and Cooling from 1978 until 2011 when forced to retire due to his declining health.  He was a sweet soul and valued friendships, old and new.  "The pain of missing you is a beautiful reminder of the joy of loving you."  (Dean Jackson)
