Rickey Lee Merritt

Rickey Lee Merritt 63 of Winston Salem passed away Thursday October 17, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, he was born in Forsyth County on December 27, 1949 to the late Aubrey T. and Lillian Craver Merritt. Mr. Merritt was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church, and enjoyed doing different types of work around his house as well as helping his friends. He also enjoyed fishing of any type. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Emma Merritt of the home, one sister Jeanne Elizabeth Merritt and Mark Lord of Winston Salem, two brothers Tom Merritt and wife Mary of El Paso, TX, and Jim Merritt and wife Cindy of King , also a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday at 2:00 pm October 22, 2013 with Dr. Cecil Cave officiating at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Monday October 21, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel ,and at other times at the sisters home.
