Ricky Pack

Ricky Pack, 67, passed into the Lord’s arms on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Ricky was born on June 20, 1955 in Wyoming County, West Virginia to Howard Pack and Jean Richardson Pack.

Ricky loved to cook for his family, often making special dinners for his wife and daughter during the week. He enjoyed going to Sandstone Waterfalls at the New River and enjoyed fishing and taking trips to his camper in the mountains of West Virginia, a place that he loved. Ricky also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune with his wife and hanging out with his daughter Ashley, who he loving referred to as “chewbie”.

Ricky loved life and was the “anchor” of his household. He had the most giving heart and was a peaceful, selfless and loyal person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Jean Pack; and his beloved dog, Buster.

Surviving family includes his wife of 30 years, Teresa Pack; his daughter, Ashley “chewbie” Pack (Malcolm); his brothers, Lee Pack (Vicki) and Howard Pack (Gloria); his niece, Lisa Stafford (Jerry); twin nephews that he always viewed as sons, David Pack and Michael Pack; and great nephew, Jacob Stafford. Also surviving are his lifelong best friends, Sidney and Rita Griffith and their daughter, Sydney “pay pay” Griffith.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Rev. Walter Terrell officiating. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends the night prior, Friday, February 10, 2023 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
