Rita Carol Myers

East Bend- Mrs. Rita Carol Hartley Myers, 70, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  She was born February 6, 1948 in Forsyth County, the daughter of George and Emma Conrad Hartley.  Carol graduated from East Bend High School in 1966.  Carol was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church and was a proud member of the WMU Ladies Fellowship.  She was retired from Lowes Foods in Clemmons, had also worked many years at Cutter’s Grocery store and had studied and practiced as a Beautician in her own beauty salon, Carol’s Cuts and Curls. She loved to be with people, loved playing Bingo, being with her lifelong friends, but most of all being a “Gigi” to Sophia and Ethan.  She is preceded in death by her parents.  Survivors include a son, Aaron Cromer and wife, Jennifer of Naples, FL; a brother, Carlton Hartley and wife, Diane of East Bend and two grandchildren, Sophia (2) and Ethan (8) Cromer of Naples, FL.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Stephens officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the grave.  The family would like to thank the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for their loving care of Carol during her time there.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Enon Baptist Church, 6321 E.
