Rithi Chan Ros

Rithi Chan Ros, 40, of Randleman NC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2017 due to complications from leukemia during his stay at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Rithi was born on February 10, 1977 in Thailand to Yonn and Sophie Chan Ros.

At twelve years of age, Rithi and his two sisters were fostered, loved and raised by James, Emily and Bobby Owens from High Point NC. During this time Rithi attended Griffin Middle School and graduated from High Point Central High, class of' 96. In 2003, Rithi began his career at Thomas Built Buses. Throughout various plants, he was known for having such an adventurous personality all while maintaining an amazing work ethic. On March 31, 2008 Rithi married the love of his life, formerly known as Sandy Byrd, of Kernersville NC. Rithi shared a life-long bromance with his three best friends Jameson Hopper, Frank Galbo and Kevin Carder. Other close friends called him by the nicknames of ""Slick"" and ""Rick"". He was well known for his athleticism and inspiration to others. Rithi spent a lot of time dedicated to his job, wife and kids. He worked endless hours to provide the best for his family. Rithi was always known for being a very loving husband and outstanding dad to his three beautiful children.

Rithi was preceded in death by his father, Yonn Ros. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Ros; three children, Noella Ros, Jaden Ros, Naiya Ros ; in-laws, Betty and Terry Byrd; his mother, Sophi Chan. He is also survived by siblings, Chan Neam, Chana Nel, Bobby Owens, along with foster parents, James and Emily Owens.


A celebration of his life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel led by Pastor Brandon DuPont. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery in Kernersville. Visitation with family and friends will be from 12:00 - 1:45 pm Saturday, July 22, prior to the service at the funeral home.

May Rithi Chan Ros rest in peace as memories of him live on.
