Robert Wayne Blankenship

Robert Wayne Blankenship, 63, entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.  Robert, better known to his family and friends as Bob or Bobby, was born on October 19, 1960, in Portsmouth, Virginia.  He attended Pineville High School, Wyoming County Career and Technical Center in Pineville, West Virginia, and went on to become a skilled electrician and carpenter.  Bobby had an adventurous personality and a love for music and nature.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and many other outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Huffman; and his grandparents (adoptive parents) Dave and Mabel Blankenship. He is survived by his siblings, David (Marty) Blankenship, Dallas (Helen) Blankenship and Judith (Dennis) Lester; his children, Amanda (James) Reynolds and Landon Blankenship; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. There will be a celebration of life, in remembrance of Bobby, to be held at a later date in West Virginia. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Blankenship family.
