Robert "Bob" E. Zimmerman, Jr.

Robert “Bob” E. Zimmerman, Jr. passed away on July 24, 2025, at Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC. Bob was born on January 21, 1945, to Robert E. Zimmerman, Sr. and Ethel Myers Zimmerman in Forsyth County. He obtained a master’s degree and enjoyed a successful career in engineering. Bob will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting. He lived most of his adult years in Nevada before recently returning home to Winston-Salem to be near his family. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. Surviving are his sisters, Raynell Thrift and Barbara Hamby (Keith). A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Advent Moravian Church graveyard with pastor Wayne Byerly officiating.
