Robert Bennett Boyd

Robert Bennett Boyd, 94, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Mr. Boyd was born August 20, 1932, in Ararat, Virginia, to Bryant Boyd and Rosa Barnard Boyd. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 6 years then later retired as a barber at Thruway Barber Shop. Robert was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 54 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ocie Mae Boyd.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Melissa Blankenship (Mike), Lateah Dunn (Bobby); granddaughter, Megan Lounsbury (Mack) and great-granddaughter, Georgia; granddaughter, Tamara Blankenship (Marty) and great-granddaughter, Eloise; special nephew, Casey Bowman; and numerous nephews and nieces. Robert also enjoyed his family’s pets.

A graveside service will be held 11AM Friday, September 11, 2026, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Truett Williams officiating.
