Mr. Robert Cabel Bradley of Winston-Salem, NC passed from this life on Sunday, August 21, 2016. He is survived by a brother, Lowell Bradley (wife Ruby) of Pfafftown, NC, as well as three children: Laura Bradley Bodsford (husband Stanley) of Kernersville, NC; Robert Keith Bradley of Billings, Montana; and Joseph Scott Bradley of the home in Winston-Salem. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jason Bodsford, Wade Bodsford, Whitney Bradley Dias, Lindsay Bodsford Withers, Amanda Bradley Castro, Robert Taylor Bradley, and Kaycee Bradley. A special mention to Kylynn Bacos...loved as his own. From his grandchildren were born eleven great-grandchildren: Joseph, Hannah, Justin and Abbey Bodsford; Alexia and Trenton Castro, Anna, Benjamin and Lucy Catherine Withers, Owen Dias, and Elsalene Carolyn Guzman.

He was born in Greenup County, Kentucky, on March 20, 1931 to Loyal Bradley and Gertrude Montgomery Bradley who preceeded him in death at a young age. He was then taken by his aunt, Callie Bradley Connell, who also preceeds him in death but completed raising him. He is also preceeded in death by his sister, JoAnn Bradley Phillips and his wife, Carolyn Long Bradley, of 54 years, who was the love of his life.

Mr. Bradley spent his career time as a commercial artist in the greater Winston-Salem area as well as doing the artwork and hand painting billboards along the North and South Carolina highways. Each year he worked on the billboard ads around the ballpark at Ernie Shore Field as well as signs for the Dixie Classic Fair, Wake Forest University and many works around the Winston-Salem area.

Mr. Bradley was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Cuba during the Korean War in the early 1950's. Anybody wishing to make a donation in his honor may do so to the American Heart Association who have made such great progress in helping people live longer lives with heart disease or the King American Legion, 446 S Main St., King, NC 27021.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11 am at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
