Mr. Robert H. Cranor, Jr., 76, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
Robert was born July 10, 1942 in Forsyth Co. to Robert H. Cranor, Sr. and Vivian Cranor. He worked as a designer for several companies before retiring from Stroh Brewing Company Container Division. He attended Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL and had his work displayed in the Gallery of Contemporary Art and Associated Artist Shows in Winston-Salem and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina. He attended West Side Baptist Church. He was a proud member of Old Town Masonic Lodge as well as a Shriner and also served in the U.S. Army. Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sonja Cranor; daughter, Beth (Chad) Cheek; son, David (Angie) Cranor; and beloved grandchildren in “whom he was well pleased” Mattison, Payton, Sawyer, Logan, and Makena and a cousin who held a special place in his heart, E.G. Parks.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 2 PM at Forsyth Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Christa Warise officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 595 S Peace Haven Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
