Robert Doriski

MSGT, Robert Theodore Doriski, USMC, Ret. age 43, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. He was born on February 13, 1975 to Shirley Van Wie Doriski and Theodore Doriski in Niskayuna, NY. Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired with 21 years of dedicated service. He worked for the FAA for the past two years. An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved to fish, hunt and camp with his son, Bradley. He had a genuine and generous spirit. He enjoyed throwing a special birthday party each year for his beloved wife, Susan. Bob will be remembered as a wonderful husband, amazing father, son, awesome brother and the greatest friend to everyone he knew. Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Agnes Mary and Robert S. Van Wie and father-in-law George Reed. Surviving are his loving wife, Susan M. Doriski; children, Bradley, Jessie and Morgan; parents, Theodore and Shirley Doriski; sisters, Michele Toohey (Saul) and Anne Taylor-Robinson; Ann Van Wie “Granny Ann”, a very special first grandchild who is due to arrive very soon, Raelynn; as well as extended family and friends. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Mark Hughes officiating. Interment will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, November 16, 2018, and again from 12:00-2:00 PM, Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
